Wow. The M&P was the last gun I thought he would be using. (it was .40 right?) I would have thought an HK for sure. Shows you where assumptions get you. I cant wait to watch it to find out why he's using thr M&P. (Can we get those magazines for M&P's in Canada? They look cool :p )

I will definitely be picking this up.

And yeah, he was using a raven holster too.

Very true. Although in their other videos their selection of firearms changed from time to time. Clearly manufacturers are looking for product endorsements and I wouldn't be surprised if Haley/Costa choose to switch it up to reinforce the fact that the skills are transferrable to most if not all makes and models.

What are you talking about? Why do people watch these videos? Im guessing to learn from someone who is a professional. The fact that he is using this gun leads me to think (key word) that it will live up to his expectations. After watching the video, maybe I will learn more about his decision to use it but until then I am going to assume hes using it because he likes it.

So my point is, I give a damn what gun and gear hes using. That gun along with the gear, make up his system, which is one of his main teachings.... I have to assume he has access to the best gear, so what he is using he must like. How is that not important?
 
The gun already lives up to expectations, and now all you're doing is starting to drool because Costa is using it in a video... which is EXACTLY why they put it in there to begin with. He probably got it for free or even got paid to use it in the video as an endorsement.

My point was that its an M&P, we already know all about it, its been around for years, and its a fine gun. So is a Glock, so is a Sig, so is an STI, and so on.

The gun isn't part of the system he is teaching you. He can shoot just as well with any other semi-auto. If he can't, then he's a hack.

I believe MD has some sort of arrangement with S&W.
