Who's seen it? What do you guys think?

Im just finishing the first disc and some of the stuff is actually quite useful, especially the beginning parts of stance, trigger control, and sight picture.

Finished the first disc of it...

As I posted before the first third or so of the video was all directed towards the basics of handgun shooting, probably a good watch for anybody thinking of getting into competition shooting (like me). The next two thirds talks about various stances you could shoot from standing, kneeling, on your back, and proning. Another thing that was great was that they taught how to clear all of the major stoppages (stovepipe, doublefeed, out of battery, and failure to feed). Moved on to disc two, starts off with shooting on the move and turns.

If anybody in the CF has done Gunfighter Training with a handgun, this is basically what it covers. The Tactical Carbine DVD goes into transitions from rifle to sidearm, almost exactly like how the CF would teach it. That's next on my playlist after I'm done with the Dynamic Handgun.

I liked the detailed break down of movements on Disc 4, very clear and definitive. Over all the info is well presented and the drills are useful. The sections on gear selection are interesting, and could save a lot of time answering the same old questions here. If you haven't checked out pistol- training dot com yet, there are some excellent drills there too - lots of info on what sets of drills are used for qualification in some of the better known agencies and schools too. The guy who runs pt.com has come up here (to BC) for the last 2 years to run courses, my fingers are crossed that he comes up next year too, I'll definitely attend.

Cheapest I've seen them for was $100 for pistol and a bit more for carbine.......

They are available on U torrent.......

But nobody actually uses that, right?

:D

Right. Because producing professional content costs money, and they do it to make money, to put it bluntly. Stealing that content is wrong and discourages quality content. If you want to see the kind of quality instructional video you get for free, stick to YouTube.

I dont personally agree with this , i dloaded my first copy. Im tired of paying for stuff that turns out to be crap.
I have since bought the disc's for a quality hard copy and plan on purchasing any additional products now that i can have faith that the product will be worth what im paying.
In the long run they get more of my money and a confident recomendation for others :)

What's the best place to get this set in Canada? It seems the Magpul site says they don't ship anything Internationally. Unless I missed something

https://dstactical.com/

either one will have the dvd's to you in under a week.

Got Carbine II a while back and was quite impressed by their observations on logic and efficiency. These are not meant to be lessons in tactics, but manipulation. I loved Handgun, and really cannot wait for Shotgun. I buy mine from eBay, but just got Carbine I and Aereal Ops from torrents. Aereal Ops really serves no purpose for me, but I have always been a big fan of aereal photography, so between that and a [hopeful] blooper reel, I figured it would be worth it.
