They're great, I have two (and no you can't have one).

There are two buffer tube size diameters on AR's. Milspec and commercial.

The commercial tube version is also bit longer. For a guy my size (190cm) that's a plus.

You could always order a spare Mil Spec buffer tube to go with the stock, they aren't that expensive. If your old one turns out to be mil spec, you've got a spare. If it was commercial you can sell it on the EE.

I was actually gonna do that originally. I think that's what I'll do!

Who sells these up here?I'm guessing they are on the non exportable list?

I'm guessing they will be tough to find. I just tried to order an ACE socom stock from Wolverine, they can't get export permits anymore. AFAIK, the only telescoping AR stocks are the Asian-made ones from Questar. Hope I'm wrong about that.

I also have two, one for my AR and the other for my 870 with the Brobee pistol grip adaptor. They are very comfortable and stable for a platform. The ony stock which I find more comfortable is the SOPMOD which I have with my LMT.

I got the Magpul's at Dave's Surplus in B.C. but I don't know if they're able to get them in anymore.

wolverine has one from Israel

I wonder which Magpul stocks are still ok to import...

None, except the PRS. No collapsible stocks, buffer tubes or parts of stocks are allowed for export out of the US anymore, your only source for new stuff is overseas.

Hell, I even noticed a thread in hunting rifles saying that even rifles chambered for .223 and .308 won't be exported anymore. I think they're confusing them with 5.56 and 7.62mm, but at this point I wouldn't put anything past the State Dept.

Gents:

For what its worth, the ones from tacshot are US produced, 6 position comercial tubes. They are a good unit, as these are the same stock that many US makers rebrand to their own.

Further, for what worth, in my expericned 4 possition are usually comcercial. However the only true way to know it to mic it.

If memory serves, Milspec will be very close to 1.14 with comercail being very clost to 1.17.

Do not forget guys, just because its comercial, does not mean its bad stock.

The general rule of thumb is the comercial stock a generally slightly longer, as one of you have already noted.

Just my 2 cents worth.

regards

AbH
