So I lost the screws to my UBR kick plate at a 3-Gun match last season but managed to recover the actual kickplate. I never really cared about it much but wanted to put the "doors" back on my stock so I needed the screws again.

I emailed Magpul a couple weeks ago to see if they could steer me in the right direction on how to track down an economical solution to sourcing some replacement screws in Canada for the stock. I recieved a very polite response from Dan Hunter at Magpul asking for some pictures of my stock.

1 week later I recieved a FedEx priority package at no charge with my replacement screws for my UBR!! I am super impressed that Magpul would go through the hassle and shipping costs to Priority FedEx a couple of screws international for something like that at no cost. That is the kind of service you just dont see anymore and it has earned a lifetime customer from me.

I figured that it was something worth posting. There are enough threads on here about poor service or poor quality products, it is always refreshing to see when people have a postive experience to aid us in our consumer decisions.

Thanks Magpul!

That's awesome man, and yeah, it's definitely worth reading something like that. Want to do something for Dan Hunter? Write a letter to his boss thanking him, maybe also include a link to this thread. I always like to give something back in the form of positive feedback or a letter of commendation for service excellence.

I did send him a very nice thank you email right after recieving it. No idea who his boss would be. The funniest thing was that after I sent him the pics, there was no response or anything, just a package that showed up super quick. Making me a fanboy.

That's SIK! I've had a few of the same situations...with Surefire and Daniel Defense. No hassles, just great service.

Now this Dan Hunter guy...what if you called Magpul and asked to speak to him personally, just to thank him, and they tell you, "Uh, there's no Dan Hunter that works here..." ?????

...mind blown. Yup.

Don't see how this is Epic. It's not unusual Tier A companies in the industry send out screws and bits for free.

I hate to say it but Americans knows how to do business and they haul ass.

I had a similar experience with atlas bipods... i love hearing stories like this as opposed to the negative stuff i hear about with some of the shops up here,.. i have a few on my no buy list.

There are a few manufacture and retailer on my list, their customer service are excellent in my book.

-Wolverine supplies, stand behind their product, no hassle to go to after manufacture. They fix it with you.
-Corwin Arms, goes beyond the book to sastified his customer. Sound like a quiet polite gentleman Martin.
-Budgetshooting supply, he will fixed whatever happen and made you happy.
-Wanstall, I like them, their customer service are great.
-My local gu shop, fixed all broken thing for me almost free.
-Daniel Defense, nice lady send me barrel nut for their rail free of charge in two days by FedEX.

I used Epic just to get people to look at it. I felt it was worth some attention. What really impressed me was the fact that it was send FedEx Priority. Not cheap economy shipping. Shipping costs far exceeded the parts costs. And the best part, this thread is getting people engaged and sharing thier positive experiences with other companies and vendors that have treated them positively. To me, that is a good thing and it gives me an idea on who I will support in future purchases.
