And it looks like they're going to, both as these Inland Mfg offerings and under their own name if the placeholders on their Shop webpage are any indication.

Yes, these pistol grip setups look ghetto, but the important thing to me at least is that they will be offering them with 14" barrels. If I bought one I'd swap them for a regular stock the first time I cleaned the gun.

Also, interestingly, there's mention in the TFB comments about contacting Ithaca for the parts needed to slam fire. Its that's true that'd be a "shut up and take my money" moment for me.

There aren't many dealers up here that actually carry them as inventory, but last I checked it looked like you could basically order what you wanted from Ithaca and have it delivered through their dealer channels.

I was mulling over a Defense model build last year, with a factory shortened wood stock and possibly a custom finish and sights, but they didn't want to offer it with choke tubes so I passed.
 
I sent them an email asking if and when they'll be available in Canada and the possibility of offering slam fire.

I'm actually trying to get away from pumps, but a new short 37, especially with slam fire, would be tough for me to pass up.
 
Slam fire would be to much of a legal liability , don't think they'll be making them again .

Heard back from Ithaca, looks like it'll be a while before these Stakeouts are available, and they won't be slam fire from the factoy, although the necessary parts might be available separately.
 
I had the trench gun brought in. Only shot it once so far, at skeet, but it was a riot.

I'd like to get a set of that oil finished wood for my other Ithaca. I prefer the look to the gloss on the new guns

The Ithaca receiver is bit shorter than its Mossberg and Remington counterparts, and so they had no choice but to go with a long grip to remain over 26" with a 14" bbl.

Ithaca needs to stick with their choice for a few years and do some advertising/marketing to let people know how good the quality is.

They jumped from 4 dealers/distributors in 4 years a few years ago. I was the second in that line LOL


Quality was amazing on them but people weren't buying. It's funny cause everyone complains about manufacturers racing to the bottom of the barrel for quality and price but unfortunately that's what sells for the most part.
 
Yeah Ithaca must have the most inept marketing in the gun business, heck they barely even have a Youtube channel.

How hard would it be to at least do some cheap and cheerful video promos like the TSE guys did for the STF-12?

I agree 100%, plus it is hard to sell a pump for virtually the same price as a nice semi auto. I think if people got to try them they would toss the semi in the woods and carry the Ithaca though. I had a SBE2 and a Ithaca Waterfowl for duck hunting, sold the SBE2 and kept the Ithaca, just a way better gun.
