Making the T97 more Reliable (Update #118)

1 mag? It comes with 2 depending on where you buy the T97. Canammo have it listed with 2 mags.
 
Almost ALL metal mags fit. Only a few people have reported issues with SOME LAR mags. Most work. MOST gen 2 Pmags work as well with NO modifications. Seriously, this is not a reason to pass this gun up.
 
i would laugh my ass off if someone here made it flat top, feed ramp mod, ambi mag release. mod the safety, make it lefty friendly, non-recip charging handle that folds, and the chinese copy that for their rifles......

I can't find it now. Does anyone else remember seeing a photo of a homemade ambi mag release?
I recall it was unpainted silver steel colour and had a bolt welded to it.

I would love to see one of these with a flat top and rail instead of the carrying handle. The carry handle is the ugliest thing on this rifle for me, and it completely turns me off of it. It ruins the gun for optics as well. I am looking forward to seeing someone capable customize theirs and remove the handle. To the people that are owners of it, does it look like it would be possible for a company to make a replacement piece to remove the handle and replace it with their parts or is it all one piece that would require modification??
