Man new Ruger QC suck. Surpised crooked D&T holes UPDATE

** update from snapshot ** Clear defect so they will fix it.

Want to hear from Ruger. I saw less then par repair done fixing dovetail that was miss cut.

It Wouldn't hurt to ask if they will replace the gun/receiver. Send an email to Karla with pics.

I did. Waiting to hear from her. I heard back from snap shots last night around 11. Saying it's defected and wouldn't worry about going after the seller or business. They will handle it. So waiting on what the process will be because I told them I saw less then par 're weld jobs. That I really want a new straight drilled receiver. So waiting to hear back.

Still got a good deal way below retail ( Target model 375 shipped with 3 mags ). I'm pretty passive and let things slide. I cannot find the ad anymore to catch him. I was shocked when he got into privacy act, that he cannot say. So then I knew it was used. So I took it apart and found out. One of those NEW to him, but NOT new. I don't believe in the trading system anyways. Always more then what can be put in the generic.

Then there is this.

I am confused as to what this picture is supposed to illustrate. I see nothing out of the ordinary.

Terrible, terrible quality control there; glad you should be taken care of.

Why would they only polish one area.

That part of the bolt is in the white, and shows through the ejection cut-out in the receiver. The rear part is blued where the cocking grabby bits are to match the receiver, and the part that slides in the tube is also blue so it doesn't stand out. It's a cosmetic choice.

There has to be a transition somewhere.

My one and only Ruger purchase (a 10/22) came with the rear sight so badly out of line that it was visible to the naked eye that it was sticking out to one side a 1/4" or more once I looked closely. It wouldn't even put rounds on the backer board at 50 yards much less the target. So much stuff made today is just crap.
