Here's my story for opening weekend. Talked to the landowner and recieved permission to hunt and he said that no one else would be there and that my son and lab and I were the only ones he would give permission to. Exclusive rights to prime chicken territory, how sweet.
Well all good things have a down side right, well after waiting all week and going to the field Saturday morning about 11:00, there was not one carload, but two carloads of trespassing slob hunters from Rivers, Mb. trespassing all over the place. When I told them that we were the only ones the farmer was giving permission to they said that they live in town and that it was OK to go anywhere because they were from around there.
F@#CKING LOCAL TRESPASSING B@ST@RDS, I would have rather that they got mouthy and we could have settled things right there. What a way to screw up a day.
Anyways after we ran them off, they wanted to avoid a confrontation rather than be reported to Manitoba Conservation so we finished off the last 1/2 of the field and shot 3 sharpies and 2 huns.
