Marauder stock

I'm so fed up with mine I'm really considering selling it, maybe it's just the mags but it won't feed squat! I never get to go to the range but when I do I expect my gun to work. Ever since I got this kit I can't feed 2 rounds correctly! I'm really considering selling the whole damn thing. All 4 brand new mags won't feed squat, so if you have one of the older 10/22 steel receivers and want a gun that will work don't get this kit.

I'm at a point where if the right trade comes around I'm getting rid of it. I know all it needs is some tinkering but I have no time nor patience for that.

Sorry for venting but this kit has cost me more aggravation than any other gun I ever owned.

Disassemble the kit & reinstall, making sure the gun seats completely down in the stock, use a hairdryer to warm the stock at the rear, we have solved many issues this way as the kits are designed to fit very snugly!

I'll try it one more time, it was pretty cold at the range on Saturday. I'll reassemble one more time. I really want to like it I just don't know if I have the patience for it. Solid kit I do have to say that.

There is no doubt there are concerns about the stock and mags with certain 10/22. The fix for me was 40 grain round nose ammo. Stay away from the 38 grain hollow points. I have 4 mags functioning great with no concerns with over 3 bricks now. Give it a try.

These mags must be hit or miss. My 3 mags are not cycling good as well. I just cleaned my 10/22 and put in a new extractor. Im waiting to go out and retest it again. Im not installing in the marauder stock till I can get the mags to work. It takes too long. Hope this works, I tried everything else with the mags.

I'm with HiCal on this one. My 10/22 is one of the original, steel ones, and when I first took my Marauder-kitted gun out to the range, using the ProMag-supplied mag (plus several others I had), I blasted off over 300 rounds, with no problems at all. No FTE's no FTF's, etc. I've since bought another ProMag mag for it. The kitted gun is dead nuts accurate, as well.

I spent a LOT of time assembling the kit. I had it slightly wrong several times, and kept taking it apart & re-fitting it until I finally got it exactly right. It is, after all, a VERY tight fit on the receiver, and it's easy to get it just a tiny bit off. If that happens, the mag won't seat properly, and you'll have all kinds of feed problems. The fit is designed to be extremely precise - we're talking 1/10ths of a m.m. here. Remember, the functioning of the mags depends on a precise fit of the receiver into the kit. I suspect that most mag malfunctions are a result of a less-than-perfect install of the receiver, rather than a flaw in the mag design.

As HiCal says, try disassembly/reassembly. I'm willing to bet that will fix it. There are tons of people with Marauders and the consensus seems to be they're the greatest. Don't give up on it, you'll find the problem. Once you get it running, you'll LOVE the gun! Trust me, it's worth it!

Well i got one 1 out of 3 working so far with federal champions and blazers 22/22 YAY. The other steel pin one is still jamming. I just filed more off the other steel pin but wont be able to try it out today. The plastic pin one is totally junk. Not much I can do with that one. I am using the factory stock so the marauder stock has nothing to do with it. I just wish they worked right out of the package. Hical if i cant get this other one going, is there any chance for an exchange? I know Drew from archangel USA is exchanging the US customers.
