Ross MKIII

Just got this yesterday, but saw it at the Chilliwack show last weekend. Basically a very clean MKIII, all original and not messed with plus has a great bore. Note the upside down 1916. Safely in my little, but growing Ross rack.
Hope you enjoy the pics

A couple of my acquisitions this month:

the Webley MKIV and MKVI (I already had the Enfield). Anyone know where I might be able to get lanyard rings for these two?

I'm almost embarased to post this hunk of junk, considering the beautiful Rosses and specimen's from the Julia auction that are being shown off this month, but here goes.

I hope I'd look this good after spending 60 years in the Polish mud:

I bought this some time ago, but it just arrived this week via slow boat from Poland. It's a Gewehr Granat Gerät 42, and a much prettier one is shown in the German MKL over at www.milsurps.com . I picked it up as a placeholder for my collection, never figured I'd come accross an economically priced one, but I since have and am now waiting on it to be delivered ;)

I didn't have my K98k handy so I threw it on my '44 Walther G43 and snapped a few glamour shots.

I also picked up a Gewehrsprenggranate (rifle grenade) to display with it, here is is ready to rock:

The years of corossion have unfortunatly erased the WaA's and model stamps, but remarkably the hinges and screw still work perfectly and there is still fairly strong rifling in the tube, although I'd describe it's "bore" as... "slightly frosted." ;)

I already posted this at www.milsurps.com but figured there are probably still a few stragglers here still living in 2006 who haven't registered over there yet ;)

Here's another March acquisition that's for ~Angel~'s collection ...

No3 MkI* (T) Rifle - (Pattern 1914 Mk1* W (T) Sniper Rifle) http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?p=12512#post12512
(Manufactured by Winchester)
"All Matching" including BSA Model 1918 (3x) Scope

2,001 Winchester P14 rifles were converted and set up by Periscopic Prism Co., where they mounted their own Model 1918 (3x) Scope. According to Skennerton, in addition and more rare to find, 79 Winchester P14 rifles were converted by BSA (Birmingham Small Arms) to mount their Model 1918 (3x) Scope, of which the example in the link is one of them.

Badger
