Jumping in late on this thread- I have Anakalosing spondolosis (spelling) I have a Script for 1 gm a day. Pot works for me, no side effects from Big Pharma scripts. Before the advent of Modern Medicine, what did the Bushman do? he found natural cures all around him :)

The Ontario Conservation Officers are extremely picky about the 30 minute after sundown and 30 minute before sunrise firearms in a case rule. I have no problem in rifle season as a gunsock is legal and can be carried in a pocket and slipped on easily at the appropriate time. Archery season is a hassle though as the cases are just too bulky to cart around.

they certainly are. several times at deer camp on Manitoulin Island I have walked back to camp at the end of a days hunting to find a couple of CO's there, checking everybody coming in for just that. And I've seen a few of the guys get dinged for it, even though everybody is well aware of the regulation.

"Enclosed on all six sides" is the quote the Ontario Game wardens love to say. Here is a quirk, in Ontario First Nation people can hunt with rifles and shoot at night. BUT when in the vehicle the gun has to be cased. Makes no sense but that is how the game wardens describe it.

85 pages of phuching dribble, how about "respect" for the people you are with. If with non smokers/drinkers put it away, always been my rule in my house/camp or yours. you think if its legalized it will make a difference. if its a problem start looking for new friends. Drinks or smoke responsibly will not collapse the hunt camp!!

I like that take kbont.

We are arguing about weed while firearms legislation is before the Commons. Trudeau might be smarter than I imagine.

Proving my point Sunchild.

It is not such a bad thing to use threads like this to take a break from more pressing matters.

There must be entertainment in life, or it really becomes pointless. But I hear what you are saying.

But I'm not sure that smart and Trudeau being in the same sentence, in any regard.

OP:

It sounds like your camp is filled with respectable people.

If the main issue with marijuana in camp has been it's legal status, this impending change in law should make it just as acceptable as any other after hunt luxuries.

It sounds like the fella in question is willing to respect the wishes of the group and be resposible for himself. Everyone has their own opinion on marijuana (as made painfully odvious in this thread). As long as it's discussed with the group, I'm sure that there will be no problems.

It will sure be an interesting change to see, come legalisation. There will be the few that take things too far, we'll see them in the headlines, but I'm sure that we'll all be okay.

To me it's simple: marijuana, like alcohol, isn't consumed until the hunt is over and guns are away. It's no change from how things are before legalisation.

Boy, this thread has been a hell of a ride...

Sure that sounds great in a perfect world with puppies and unicorns:)
Stoners are stoned 7/24 and are you going to have a guardian beside each stoner all day long..during the hunt...to make sure they don't smoke up in the tree stand??
At least with booze there's bottles and caps spread everywhere
