To be Berry compliant for Gov contracts does not require 100% US made. Leupold is almost entirely offshore made but assembled in the US. The US mil often uses Schmidt and Bender optics and they're 100% German made.
Here is the post. Phil.

It seems my tongue in cheek sarcasm didn't quite come across, my bad. That being said Leupold still admits that more than lenses are sourced offshore. The potential for a lot of parts is there.
There was no sarcasm in your post...you have called me a liar on two occasions. You made a mistake, own it and move on. If this is what amounts to an apology we are done. Phil.
As an example of input, we just came back from a Swarovski/Kahles event which included instruction with live-firing at the Peacemaker Range in West Virginia. The Shadow 6 instructor was a Ranger sniper and is top-notch as are the Kahles tactical scopes. However, only limited manufacturers meet all criteria which includes delivery of large numbers. Additionally, there has been dissatisfaction within reg and SF units units of the Western world with the existing products. This has been repeated and expressed at Canadian International Sniper Concentrations and elsewhere. Our opinion is Nightforce is the most reliable scope in the world and their organization is first class.
We are only following what happens with scopes and are sure others can assist with kit info.
Best regards,
Peter
What is the glass like in the NightForce ATACR line of scopes? Anybody fill me in? The regular nxs wasn’t that impressive to me
Oh boy that doesn’t help lol....I’m deciding between NF atacr 4-16 or 5-25 OR a sightron siii 6-24 moa ret scope. People brag about the sightron. Trying to convince myself I don’t need a 3000$ atacr on my bighorn tl3 lol....
We can elaborate on issues with existing kit but choose not to. We are fortunate in that we have dealt with a wide range of snipers and are gearing up for the CISC at which there will be more direct info.
