Marlin 1892

May be under the rear sight.

Usual locations for lever guns are on the upper or lower tang, or on the underside of the action, just behind the fore end.

What's it worth to ya? PM if you'd prefer.

Cheers

I have never had much luck in selling old 22 rifles. My opinion, not too much interest in them.

I would be interested in seeing better pictures of the barrel and magazine tube. It should have # stamped on the bottom of the receiver as well as a matching # on the stock under the tang.

I wuzz tawt by an old gunsmith that the Winchester's stamped the wood on the old levers.
In case point, my old 1892 in 44-40.
Pull the rear wood and on the top inlet is the serial number, or last portion there of.
Nawt sure what Marlin did, but you may be awn to sum-ting?
