Hey folks,

Thought I would start a thread on this little lever action. I actually was unaware of their existence until recently and had to run and pick one up! I'm going to update this thread with my experiences with reliability, shooting video, and loads with velocities etc as time goes on. I'll update this first post.

Marlin doesn’t make any of their lever guns with synthetic stocks. They’re all wood.

There is a company called ranger point precision that makes synthetic stocks but they are $$$

The CST just has the stock painted black.

Anyone got any experience using a scout long relief scope for this rifle? I have a Burris 2-7 currently mounted, but not a long relief scope. BTW this is a great bush gun. .357 great for deer, .38 special I use for small game.

This is a good looking rifle. I just bought a 1894 CB that could use a stainless companion.

It's like buying a kit car. lol I have or have owned most real Marlin in most calibers..To each his own

I have a Leupold FX-II on an 1895SBL with the same rail. Would be the same scope I’d put on the 1894

I have an 1894C and a CSS, both JM’s and I may consider selling one to get this

A youtube video of this rifle by Tactical Cowboy shows him shooting 9 rounds (starting with an empty chamber)??? What's the deal? Is there a Canadian variant or something? Can someone who owns this rifle definitively say: "My magazine will hold _____ rounds of 38 special with an empty chamber."

8 rounds of .38spc and 7 rounds .357mag depending on COAL and bullet profile.
