Marlin 1894 Trapper in 10mm

Great looking rifle bit i would take it in .44magnum over 10mm. Dont get me wrong iam a big fan of 10mm i have owned a glock . 20 in 10 mm and a colt 1911 delta elite in 10mm. But iam also a fan of the .44 magnum having owned 4 diffrent lever guns in .44 mag. And currently own two ruger deerfield carbines in .44 magnum. In a rifle for hunting .44 handsdown. For wilderness protection it would bo something semi auto in a pistol in 10mm. Tell me iam wrong but a lever gun in 10mm auto for hunting serves no real world use

Yeah, but they might just be saying that to cover their asses. Big Horn Armory has similar messaging regarding their 460sw and 454casull guns. At least for BHA its more like "we're not gonna say it works so you can't ##### if it doesn't" rather than "it totally doesn't work don't even bother trying".

That said, some 357mag guns won't reliably feed 38spl, so its entirely possible this won't feed 40sw reliably either.

Oh, I'm fully in agreement that a 10mm lever action rifle has no real world use (at least not one that isn't already well covered by 357/44). I think even 357mag has the edge over 10mm?

But then again, many guns fit into that category, and I would hate for that to be the standard all guns are judged by. Sometimes "because" is reason enough for me.
