Marlin 1895 GS Feeding Problems

News Wave:
Don't buy a new Marlin.

Totally agree.

336c (30-30) Around 6 front barrel band screws have snapped along with 6 rear barrel band screws , 1 front barrel band, 1 front forearm stock cracked, 3 extractors have snapped and most recently 1 loading spring screw head has snapped off.

By far the worst rifle I have ever owned. Soon to be parted out or dropped off to the OPP for destruction.
Will never purchase another Marlin product.

Apart from that, life is good :D

I have a new Marlin 1895 GBL with REP on the barrel and I haven't had any problems with it at all, it is a great rifle. It feeds flawlessly from the magazine and is a blast to shoot.

Took my new Marlin to the range on Sunday and fired about 12 rounds of Winchester ammo. Basically, each round would jam and require me to align it with the chamber to get it to feed. Eventually, I would just turn the rifle up-side-down and shake it to allow the bullet to level out and then I would close the lever. Not good boys. Are these things fussy about what you feed into them? Preferred brands?

newly bought ? if it s not feeding time to ship via your dealer to Gravel agency ... i wont do anything else and they re aware of the problem ..

if i ve counted well from 12 1895 shipped back to Gravel only two were back .... the rest was credit. be ready to buy a used one.

very happy they were able to fix the extractor problem. pretty sure they played too on the feeding.

all the best.
now you ve got a crazy lovely gun.
