Spoke with Cabelas earlier today - they managed to order an additional 40 rifles, backorders will be filled at old price (couple months). Happy I hung in there with back order.

Yup, a few weeks ago i checked on my backorder. They said they were going to fill the backorders, but werent taking new orders.
Im #49 and holding. !
I think ill have to start rounding up some 45/70 reloading junk.
Anyone know where the brass/lead deals are?

Just called for an update and they said they must have made a mistake as they are not in yet . Anyway, after some checking, they are telling me that they are expecting them in May.

Yes it was a sale. You had to have ordererd before the sale item came off the website or you are out of luck.

Just got a call from Cabelas today and was told that they haven't even started making them yet so they will be a while yet. I didn't get the call myself as I wasn't home when they called so not sure if the translation is totaly correct or not. Hopefully message was interpered wrong.

My buddy has received his, except they sent him the blued metal guide gun. They told him that Marlin does not make the stainless model anymore, and are giving him an instore credit.

Well I called the Marlin factory today and they assured me that they were still in production. They don't have any but they are still making them.
