Marlin 795 trigger guard broken

I was in the same boat. 180 dollar gun, 130 dollar piece of aluminum. JB welded my plastic one, its held up good since.

Ya, thnx. Thats what Im going to do. {4 now} Kinda p*sses me 0ff. I asked if the Trigger guard had any cracks, as Nothing was mentioned as the deal was being had. Then I get oh ya, there's this. Just One' behind the guard. I got it today, literally came apart in 3..well 4, if you count the small piece. I do feel I got a fair' deal, but not no amazing deal. As for the Trigger, the one places ships to Canada, but DIP themselves, have a better deal/prices then Kinny, but they own't ship..makes no sense.

Hey guys. I just got a 795 knowing it had one crack, but, it actually came apart in 3 pieces just now. Behind at screw & right in front of trigger guard, & another small piece flew off! lol I see the Kinny is $80 US, what's that landed here approx? $130ish shipped? Practically what I payed of the whole rifle. Been in the dog house buying too much lately. I will buy, prob cant til next month or so. Anyone have their Old shiit plastic guard {maybe in One piece still} willing to sell me? Plz PM me. Thnx so much. Cheerz ~

You can find them from different retailers for about $20 US. Numrich has them, but it's out of stock, and they just re-opened. They're not shipping to Canada yet.

I had my old Mossberg's plastic trigger guard (the ones with the extended tang with finger grooves) shrink so it wouldn't fill the groove milled in the wood pistol grip. I cut a new one from 3/8" steel plate with a drill press and hand powered hacksaw and a mill file. Looked nice. Different times I guess.
