Was my fathers. It's had the dreaded refinish; cold blue and satin finish on the stock.

Holy low serial number though. He didn't do the SIN... he electro pencilled his initials and B-day instead. More secure I suppose... still hooped the value just as much though... it was another time I suppose. Buggered Screw heads and all... to him it was a tool.

Kinda like 'Time Travelling. I bought that Tasco 4 x 40 in about 1982... 129 $ at Carnelli's Sporting Goods in Medicine Hat. I honestly do not know what Dad did to lose every darn cap on his scopes. Every one... I swear.

I sorta forgot about it. Still a fine old gun though... I can remember having 22 WRF shells that he used to shoot too.
And yeah the value is compromised to say the least... but I ain't planning on selling it anyhow.
Headshot a Gopher at about 75 paces... so it'll still walk the walk.

Nice! My dad wasn't a hunter/shooter...so only a few old family guns have come out of the woodwork over the years. Only one was a rimfire, and a caliber no longer made. lol (22 Winchester Auto) Would love to have a 22WMR as a keepsake, hold onto that lever action. Some things help us remember loved ones, and bring back memories every time we use them.

Old Carnelli really put the screws to you on that scope. I once watched him sell some poor bugger a $100.00 bushnell spotting scope for $600. Hope it wasn't you?

Ole Baptise was a unit. I got a Bubba'd LE D & T'd at his shop for 20 $. In hindsight the rings & mount were probably in the deal too LoL. Mostly we didn't buy from Bap... he was a shyster.

I bought some CZ 22lr rifles there back in the day, pick out the gun with the best wood and go into the basement to shoot with Ron. Him and Bap weren't actually kin.
