Marlin XL7 Reports

We just sold our last one today for $379. Have a bunch more coming in a month or so(about 25) in both camo and black in a three calibres. However, many of them are sold already.

I was wondering about the new stock coming in

we re still offerring for $379 and $429 for those that order now. Once they are in inventory, might be a little more, depending on Marlin's '09 prices and exchange rates.

Not sure why so few shops are carrying these. They are a really nice 'entry level' rifle.

What calibers will you be getting in???

All three: 270, 30/06, 25/06 in both camo and black. However, its likely we are alreay presold-out in camo 270.
We also have, on order, a bunch ofXS7's which are the sme rifle but in 243, 7/08, ad 308. ie, the 'S' is for short. No timeline for them yet.

the 30-06 i picked up came with weaver two piece bases, all reviews i've read spoke about one piece base that came with the gun. go figure i would pick up an odd ball!

Thats odd, I just ck'd the Marlin website, and they say they come with a one piece base.

they also say the XL7 will be offered in an attractive American Walnut and Brown Laminated Hardwood stock versions.

like i said, i would pick up an odd ball. i'm going to have to check out the laminated version when they come out!

I can't find one in stock anywhere. Looks like I'll be waiting until Feb. :(

Yep, we'll have most all calibres in both camo in black sometime in Feb. I think we are sold out of camo .270's though already. Might be able to get more but we took everything the distributor had at the time.

Had a chance to take my 30-06 XL 7 (that got from Clay here) to range this Saturday. Right out of the box 2" groups at 100 yard! Second three...1" grouping. The range officer thought I must be a marksman! :p...Hardely.. it is the gun.

Very pleasant and forgiving rifle to shoot. No excessive kicking at all. Everybody at the range agreed that it is now the champion of "the best bang for the buck" category, replacing Stevens 200.
