marstar 70,000/10,000 SKS, eta aug 20th, price $189 new military.

Whew... Read all posts...

I haven't thought about owning an SKS... but now I want 3 :D
Whenever they come, I hope they are nice (that's always been my beef with the SKS, but, for a super cheap rifle I guess one can't expect too much.)

P.S. I'd love a N.Korean SKS for something truly different :D

Also somewhat interested in a timeframe, but just knowing that there are people on the ground getting the rifles sorted and ready for shipping is good enough for me. I can wait patiently to have my socks knocked off, but I gotta warn ya John, my socks fit pretty tightly.

we dont change username often and without a good reason , getting new account is a bannable offense.

I understand its a bannable offense, but does he? I belong to a lot of forums and there are guys who constantly get banned for being an idiot and are right back up with another name......

I just read all of these posts....... It didn't actually take that long. lol!! :D

I've been thinking about buying an SKS for about 6 months.... I can wait a bit more. :D

I do know where thate are 10-20 crates of ammo...... I think I am going to go buy a couple!

Cheers!

This thread is going to be legendary 228 responses and 10K+ page views in 5 days! I don't know John, you may be able to sell more of these in Canada than you think!

Cheers

If the price is bad. I'll buy 1...maybe.

If the price is good I'll buy 2-10 depending on price.
I'll also buy a case of 7.62X39 per rifle minimum.

This thread never fails to make me smile.

I have no specific love for the SKS but more guns in Canada is better than less, and even 5000 SKSs making it in would be great.

Johnone's line of work sure sounds exciting...it is kind of like Strangeday's land of make-believe, only it actually happens in real life! I would buy the book if it gets written.

It would sure be cool to be a fly on the wall during Marstar's planning sessions and to know their upcoming deals, or deals they get a line on, or deals they pass on...especially seeing as I don't have my own money on the line, so no stress, just excitement. I love going to that website just to window-shop, very cheerful feeling.

If you're referring to the N Korean ones, they wouldn't since N Korea is under all sorts of weird and wonderful embargoes ... So here's hoping that Canada will (once again) have access to unique products that we can then make US gun owners/collectors green with envy over .... :kickInTheNuts:

I wonder how much one of those would go for on the us market.

Calum, that's a smart looking line up of troops. They're all picked for height and looks. The stocks on those SKSs look to be synthetic. If they weren't so shiny, there would be a good market for them here. I've seen a couple of the "Red" resin stocks that were on some of the early Chinese imports. I would really like to see some on these rifles as I missed out on the early ones, due to snobbery. Fool that I am.
