marstar 70,000/10,000 SKS, eta aug 20th, price $189 new military.

^^ "Affordable" M1 Carbines would be great. Then someone can crank out a couple thousand 18.6" barrels for them. :D

Thanks John. Actually, I had this faint hope that your batch may include a few of those very attractive unissued blonde Yugos.

Given what you said, I doubt that very much. But thank you anyway. Oh well...maybe later....

OK we will save you the pain of reading 46 pages of posts....

We purchased a little over 70,000 units in an African nation.... Mixed production, very mixed conditions....

We purchased 10,000 Brand new un-issued military manufacture of the 1950s and 1960s
These we will not discuss further at this time, so please do not ask....

Just remember what Marstar did to the M-14 market when we decided to play seriously, prices came down, supplies went up.... You are about to see the same thing again
John

My apologies if this has been asked previously, in what way they will be pinned to 5? hope they won't be butchered especially the new ones...

Yeah I also wonder about this, really wish they could just see it only holds 10 rounds why not just let it stay like that. :(
Then again same could be said for 30 round mags for other guns.

I hate how mine was butchered wish it was just pinned.

Maybe we could push to change the law so that the restriction is only for detachable center-fire magazines.

YES all our firearms meet Canadian restrictions....

That said Marstar is alway careful not to butcher the magazines in question....

I should note that all work done on our imports is either done here or offshore and under our strict instructions and supervison of our personel, no surprises....

I understand your frustration many of the recent imports showed a really low level of workmanship.... But thats what happens when you deligate the task to unknown workers....

Knowing that will easily increase the value of these SKS's, even if the condition of some of them is low. Less than Frankenpinned mags is a major bonus.

for those who dont know what we are talking about when we say our mags are butchered or frankenpinned , it looks like this (pic from russian SKS45 sticky) .

from left to right: IZH first shipment, Bell dist and leverarms.

If I would do the pinnig I wouldn't use welding at all. Iinstead I would make a blocker with cut out of the size that will not go onto the follower arm in normal state but could be pushed on when it's heated up. something like this (sorry, don't have a tool to make a better drawing):

Nice, do we get the Republic of Banana Generals hat with the SKS?

That one dude on the right end is wearing it with pimpin' style.
