Where can you sell 70,000 SKS . Those amounts are good for an army. Canada will take maybe about 10,000 a year. Hope Marstar got a good deal because those will be stored for a long time at Marstar warehouse

westrifle : you need to reread the first post again.... no, the thread started a couple of months ago .... no, it says not all for canadian market.

regarding russian SKS, at this time john made no mention of it.

I've got my cz858, zeroed for barnes tsx right now. Until I decide whether I'll be Black Bear hunting in the spring, it's too expensive to have to re-zero, I need an SKS for cheap blasting. Got my can of brake cleaner ready, bring on the cosmo!!!

What army would go to war in 21st century, armed with 70,000 used SKS's or..say still fly sea king choppers? OOHHH....NO.....SHOOOT!!:eek:
 
70, 000 rifles would be a pretty small army.

On this topic, is there a ratio armies try to have in regards to Rifles:Soldiers?

Enemy at the Gates, they had 3 guys per rifle. Pick up the rifle from dead guy in front of you, insert clip, keep firing that way, no retreating, cowards to be killed. Modern armies probably closer to 1:1, with some spares where logistics allows.

Nah I would say more like 2:1, well maybe not the same wepon in that case, but if probably for the states army if you compile all of the m4's, m16's, m249's, m240's, m60's and all of there test wepons it would probably turn out to be closer to 3:1.

Well in that logic, we could also look at a 2:1 or 3:1 for the CF. Browning HP, C6, C7, C9, etc. and we could start getting into 25mm, 60mm, 81mm, 105mm 155mm, coax and Ack-Ack C6, RWS .50/C6 etc. etc. etc.

Most soldiers carry or operate more than one weapons system.

But then again, my arguement can be destroyed by the massive amount of support trades over the combat arms who will only carry a Browning HP while in KAF.
