For the African ones, just remember to first wipe down the bayonet with a bit a javex bleach... because of the potential presence of HIV, hepatitis and other funky microbial DNA.
pathogens, viruses, and other bacteria do not live long without a host to grow in..in most cases...I would not be concerned, but a good cleaning never hurts

Yeah, i know... I was just kiddin'![]()
I have a master in microbiology and Ph.D. in molecular biology
The only pathogens that live pretty long on dry surfaces are those that form spores, like anthrax and aspergilllus type molds.
Would be interesting though, to do a forensic analysis on some of those SKS'.
Using simple fluorescence based test, we could see if there's any traces of blood.
Would you actually want to own a rifle that killed 100 innocent women and children in Africa?
I'd rather not know... Something just doesn't seem to impressive about ethnic cleansing.
Exactly. Even if it was used by the african militia for ethnic cleansing, blame the african militia, not the SKS.There's another way of seeing it:
Better in our hands than in an African militia !
Exactly. Even if it was used by the african militia for ethnic cleansing, blame the african militia, not the SKS.
fixedRemember guys, gun dont kill peoples, bullets do
Amen......a gun is a tool and is harmless in the right hands and harmful in the wrong. But so is a rock, machette, gasoline, rope, and so on and so on.....

So if bullets kill, then its not a drunk driver or the drunk drivers car that kills the innocent driver of the other car but his/her's own door that impales him/her?
