BARRACUDA .40;
I was not given any options, it was decided for us, I was given the decision....
I will inform one and all after the meeting.
John

Perhaps it is the sheer size of the shipment that freaked them out? If you check back John perhaps you could give us an idea of how many you were bringing in?

ROMMELROMMEL;
"Fact: John has said that the new VZ58's have been reclassed as prohibited." The new variants, yes this is correct....

"John has previously said that the new VZ58's have a different source of reciever than the previous ones." I do not recall saying this, it is NOT accurate.

"All recievers that were once full auto are always considered full auto, and prohibited." NOT accurate, this is true ONLY IF they were part of a firearm, if they were never assemble into a firearm they are whatever you make them into during remanufacturing....

"Someone at the CFC/RCMP doesn't like all these "military style" rifles coming in, particularily cheap ones that are easily available on the open market." VERY OBSERVANT

I do thank your for your thoughts and support, I will keep you posted.
John

John thank you for correcting my errors. I'm particularily interested about "this is true ONLY IF they were part of a firearm, if they were never assemble into a firearm they are whatever you make them into during remanufacturing...." Very good to know that, I did not know that.

Thank you again for going through all of this, we know it's a business and you do these things to make a buck, but I know that there are easier ways and you do this because you obviously care about the firearms community.

Holy s**t people...back to the matter at hand.
So what's up with the T97 anyway? A routine inspection of a new model?. What has Canada Ammo to say about it?

This thread is becoming as useful as teats on a nun...

I say that Marstar & CanadaAmmo both start up class action lawsuit's against these bigot swine's that are the CFC & RCMP for the loss of revenue and the emotional and physical stress that this whole re-classification process is causing them!

Anyone else wonder if the move to prohib a few 'scary' black rifles is because they believe c301 will pass, and they will loose their ability to easily confiscate them once it passes?

Ah!!!
I smell what those pricks are cooking!
Yep it's defenatly some BS!
:mad:
Confiscate them now cuz there Liebral friends problay told them to cuz bill c301 is going to come into effect!

Is anybody else wondering why, when we are in a full on economic crisis, that the RCMP/CFC/Canadian Government (whom ever it is!) are putting holds on or reclassifying tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise that will sell, or is already sold. The reclassification of these rifles alone would cost John and Marstar thousands of dollars in sales, and if this type of thing keeps happening it would cripple and or bankrupt many stores and dealers in the industry. How would that help a struggling economy?
The government should be embracing the fact that hundreds if not thousands of legal Canadian gun owners are ready and willing to spend their hard earned money on these types of rifles just because they look cool. They are clearly going the wrong direction with this, instead of classing more firearms as prohibited, they should be classing more as non-restricted, or restricted to make them more readily available to honest, and law abiding gun owners. I know it would be minuscule but it would put some money into the economy, and right now every little bit helps.
