Or that the creation of Volkswagen (People's Car) stemmed from Hitler's love of cars and belief that every German family should be able to afford and enjoy them.

Our limited-access highway system is also inherited from the Nazis. Interestingly, the German highway system is quite bizarrely routed in some places. This is a legacy of Nazi planning and Hitler's belief that the highway system should take Hans Deutschmann from point A to point B not necessarily in the fastest, most direct route possible, but rather the more scenic route to showcase the beauty of Germany.

enefgee has it about right... I would like to see a Canadian made "black" rifle come in under $2,000 - solid, reliable and no frills - and hopefully no plastic/composite other than grips/stocks. Guess I should start work on one if I really want it.
 
Conditions for the success depend on 3 things.

1. NR status
2. $1000-1500 price range
3. Ability to find parts and accessories

If any black rifle meets these standards (particularly #1) will be a success in canada.

And Armedsask excited to see where your research goes. Hopefully you will be able to produce something that I cant wait to throw my money at you for.
Something you might want to try is once you get everything hammered down and get a patent (or some sort of copyright protection) I would recommend you go to a Canadian manufacturer (such as NEA) who already
has the manufacturing down (especially at the $1000 retail price point) and can pump out the rifles like no tomorrow (thus getting the cost down and saving on you personally having to shell out the money to develop production infrastructure.)
They will probably give you a job in research (for more awesome products you probably have ideas on), and you can get a royalty on every unit they break there backs selling (no effort for you and you get to continue developing awesome firearms).

Damn it, you guys caught me. Volk Arms is just a front for a German backed resurgence of national socialism in Canada. Sales from Volk Arms were going to finance our nefarious plan to control the world's supply of maple syrup. First you control the maple syrup, then the world will follow!!

Or perhaps the more likely explanation is that Volk is my god damned family name and I'm of German decent. I sincerely hope you two are just busting my balls, otherwise you've all gone beyond full retard. There's a lot more I'd like to say on this topic but the subject matter is just so completely beyond ridiculous that my mind keeps screaming, "Are you kidding me?!"

It may be your family name, but "Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Furher" has sort of tainted it as a brand, as the word "volk" is perpetually associated with jackbooted stormtroopers seeking liebestraum. Don't blame me for history.

Hey, that's pretty much what I thought was the case, and for what it's worth, I completely understand your frustration. The problem is that while people like us get that you aren't a Nazi plot, there are a whole swackload of our fellow Canadians who think that Justin Trudeau would make a great PM, believe that the registry prevented mass shootings, and who actually think that gun shows are all about neoNazis arming themselves with Nazi flags to drape over their fully automatic assault weapons. Their first reaction to seeing "Volk Arms" is going to cause a public relations hairball.

Your call, your business, and yes, it totally sucks. I wish it were otherwise.

Again...Volk is a term that had great significance in Nazi Germany, and continues to have considerable associations with modern white supremacy.

People see Volk Arms, maybe people think Volkswagen, then again maybe they think Volksfront.

Armedsask can name his company whatever he chooses...but if he chooses to call it Volk Arms I am 100% certain this thread will not be the last time he has to deny being associated with a very distasteful history.

I'm not a lefty, but I found the same thing with my Ar180b. Spent casings slightly ahead of 90deg.
 
The AR18/180/180B stocks are meant to be folded to the left side of the rifle, no issues with shell ejection or firing while folded.

As well, one could argue the cocking handling on the AR180B acts as a shell deflector.
 
Worry less about what they're doing and just deliver us a non-restricted rifle that takes AR mags and is quality without the retarded price tags we get now.

If you build it, we will buy, assuming you meet us at a reasonable point.
