maximun firepower?

to start the most powerful u should look at is a 22. get good & learn the little steps then move up. Join a gun club & get some instruction. Then I'll sell u my 10 ga auto loader.:) good luck AJ

The Accuracy International Arctic Warfare rifle, is a $6000+ dollar gun.

The rule of thumb for long range shooting is. EVERY BEGINNER will never be able to OUT shoot their rifle when they first start. So there is no need to have a tricked out rifle when you cant even shoot it properly. I have a 24X scope and at 600 yards a 1' x 1' target is completely taken up by the width of the cross hair line on my scope. A few people on this site has already given you the "insider" secret. Start off low and move up as your skill progresses. It costs $20 to buy 500 rounds of .22 LR ammunition. When you can get a 1" group at 100-200 yards with your .22 then move up to a larger caliber. Dont save your money for a good gun, save your money to buy lots and lots of ammunition. because that is where the true "POWER" comes from. All the powerful guns in the world are useless if they cant hit anything with them.

I'd follow the advice above before asking anymore questions.

FN Five-Seven is not a good choice at all. Great firearm but it and the P90 are the only two firearms that use the 5.7x28mm round and it's only produced by FN = Very expensive round and pretty darn hard to come by.

What use do you have for armour piercing rounds? If you weren't such a newbie...someone MIGHT answer the question but you obviously have NO idea about the firearms laws of this country.

is fn57 a good order for beginners?
is vbr 9mm ap rounds illegal in canada?

6) Q: Is Amour Piercing ammo prohibited?
A: NO, not in rifle calibres. Yes, it is banned in pistol calibres..
EDIT. there is some dispute about this right now
So what kind of rifle calibres ap rounds can I own.
Is there a list for it

Okay - now this is where it's getting retarded.

FN 5.7 for beginners? Armour piercing handgun ammo? This is heading south in a hurry.

Look around, search through the site, but asking about armour piercing WHATEVER for your 'first gun' is ridiculous. You obviously have no interest in the LEGAL uses of firearms.

I'm sure he just wants to make sure it can shoot threw a tin can...

seriously though, your interest in firearms in juvenile and misguided. if you want a schoolyard discussion about "sick guns" I suggest you look elsewhere. until then everything has been answered. Take your PAL, get a .22lr and go from there... or don't (please don't)

Stupidity and writing style seem to indicate that you have either ..

(1) Been raised up reading the Toronto Star.
(2) Watch CBC on a nightly basis.
...or
(3) Work for one of the above.

JMHO.

I am just curious about it. I mean my only firearms experience is when I am 5.
Sorry for being a newbie.
I will try to learn

s**tloads of power? bigger than .50BMG? try a 20mm. as far as i know, they are legal in Canada, if you can afford to buy one.

here's an Anzio Ironworks 20mm Vulcan mag fed bolt action rifle. the price of the rifle will run you $11,900. ammo? standard training rounds are $9.50 per round and the tracer ammo, if you can find it, is $15 per round.

Can 20mm penetrate a titanium body armor? Probably lol. You guys are right, I should get a gun that I can handle. What kind of handguns do you recommend to a newbie.
is walther p99qa good.
LOL isn't .50bmg and 20mm armor piercing and it is allow to Canada.
Isn't that kind of ironic

Canadian gun laws generally focus on small things being scary, such as 25 and 32 calibre handguns and handguns with barrels less than 106mm.

There are prohib 50BMG guns, watch the old OKA footage to see which ones.

Our laws are based almost entirely on things that were found to look scary. There is no practicality or sense to be found, so don't try to look. If the corrections system could hang onto the people when they had them to take their pictures, we'd live in the safest country in the world. Almost zero serious crime is committed by first time offenders. You can only stop criminals by removing them from society, or removing them from the gene pool.

Brown Bears are the most dangerous thing on this continent that you can legally shoot, they don't wear armor, if you want to be taken the least bit seriously, and not treated like a troll, drop the armor penetration thing.

Any 22lr handgun, and most 9mm make good choices for a first handgun. Affordable ammunition is the biggest reason I say this. Ruger MKIII is my most used handgun, so you can't go wrong with one of those. Don't even look at other calibres until you are set up for reloading. Factory 45acp is $30/50 IF you can find it, reloading it costs me $17/100. Factory 44mag, runs upto $48/50, reloading costs me $22/100.

ETA I already had one NOOB this week make me feel like a moron for trying to make a helpful post, don't make it two, please

sure. if you know about handloading or have a source for that calber. that one is more of a niche gun. your best best is to pick something common. a Glock 17 or a Smith&Wesson MP9, both in 9mm would be excellent choice. a Beretta 92F is also a nice gun. if you want a suprlus gun like that, try this one. it's 9mm, so ammo won't be a problem
