Just purchased one today at my local shop. Got to fondle it for a while and then they put away till the paper work shows up. They only got the one in and I was lucky they phoned to let me know it had arrived. Pics as soon as it's home.

Made the first trip to the range tonight with the SR1911.

25 rounds at a distance between 7 to 8 meters, unsupported-standing
Center oval is 2 1/4" wide by 3 1/2" high. Could use more practice I think.
Lower left shot was a flinch. Hate when that happens.

It's not a bad craving.
I've tried many different guns and still prefer a 1911 over anything else.

It wasnt me bean, i called LA and the price was too high. I would rather support a business that doesnt jack the price. 800 is a little rich for a 700 dollar gun.

Those are very nice looking and it seems like they shoot as well as they look.
If I can find one for a reasonable price ( less than $ 800 ) you can be assured this old guy will shoot it.
The Ruger would look good beside my old Hardballer...
