May be the first SR1911 in Canada or not.

Frig the SR1911s are nice. Gotta post pics and range report when you get yours. First or not itll be a nice piece!

congrats to OP, and good luck to others who wrote above about waiting. I have been very happy with mine since got it 3 May, 2 days after official release. Hey, it was not first in Canada, but wonder if it was first in Canadian hands? ;) Built and bought right here in sunny Arizona :)

Just purchased one today at my local shop. Got to fondle it for a while and then they put away till the paper work shows up. They only got the one in and I was lucky they phoned to let me know it had arrived. Pics as soon as it's home.:D
Paper work came through today.:D As promised here are a few pics.

Great if folks can share the price and store (if they're CGN supporters).

$699 is a sale for me, 800 is no thanks.
What price are ppl picking these up for? Saw a BC dealer for 800 yet heard Dantes had them for 699.

Thx!

has anyone seen the rules about posts -- NO AIRSOFT OR SQUIRT GUNS , please stick to real firearms only please

na seriously - I'm jelous , someone ( who will reamin nameless OP ) took the last/only one in chilliwack - probably some old fart that will never shoot it :p

Enjoy the new Ruger sr1911 - it's looks like a keeper ............ BUT if you get buyers remorse I'm only a stone throws away

Made the first trip to the range tonight with the SR1911.

25 rounds at a distance between 7 to 8 meters, unsupported-standing
Center oval is 2 1/4" wide by 3 1/2" high. Could use more practice I think.
Lower left shot was a flinch. Hate when that happens.

It wasnt me bean, i called LA and the price was too high. I would rather support a business that doesnt jack the price. 800 is a little rich for a 700 dollar gun.

Those are very nice looking and it seems like they shoot as well as they look.
If I can find one for a reasonable price ( less than $ 800 ) you can be assured this old guy will shoot it.
The Ruger would look good beside my old Hardballer... :)
