Maybe I'll Bang a Deer Today..........Finally, Photo Up

I'd say use you 375 if I remember right you got a beautiful sako safari .any buck with a picture of that rifle should make it more pretty .other wise the nitro

Someone must have whispered my intentions to the deer......none showed up today, we'll see what tomorrow brings. Think I'll get up about 5:30 and see what the sunrise brings...........hey, that's ALMOST like hunting..........

.23 penguin?

I would like to see what a loaded down 375H&H does to a deer though, and if the live up to the claims of eating right up to the hole.

Also, everyone seems to have watched Super Troopers recently...

I suggest one of the following:
SKS
Buckshot
22 Hornet (the S&B 46 grainers work just fine on deer that get in the garden.

Well, at precisely 6:30 this A.M. I had my crosshairs dead center on the head of a small buck @25 mtrs, head down, feeding, facing me..........perfect set up with me elevated on my deck, shooting down with a perfect back drop situation, no risk,.............I couldn't do it........it just felt wrong and I hadn't finished my first coffee yet. He gave me a good 10 seconds in that position and I had a solid rest against the corner of the porch door, but I just couldn't do it. Man I must be getting old when I refuse to take a "gimme" like that........make no mistake though had he been a 200" WT I'd be up to my elbows in blood right now..........but that little 3X3 got a pass this morning..........the unicorn would not have, but he's with a different group of deer and hasn't shown himself in the past couple days. I just don't know what to think of me at this point...............:confused::confused::confused:

you just not hungry enough yet ,,lol I am sure you will find the right deer to put in your freezer just give it time ,A nice dry doe would be the perfect eater ,,,Dutch

Has the wifie been putting names awn them live lawn oarnamints?

Nope 'Looky, but the shot right beside the house would most certainly have awakened her, and she's not overly pleasant when awakened unnaturally...........especially by a 65,000 psi muzzle blast right against the side of the house.......... and then to find a dead deer bleeding all over the lawn right beside her flower beds........:):):)

I have long believed that the true sign of a hunters maturity and professionalism is the ability to pass on a sure shot. I admire that and think it is something to aspire to.
