I wonder if it is possible to round off the beavertail of the WK180. Or is there some sort of function in that area.
Looks are irrelevant and the SLR has an altered magwell, that's it.
Trigger pack is irrelevant as it accepts most triggers anyway.
Take down pins are irrelevant. Field stripping is not a time sensitive operation nor is it a frequent one.
The ATRS offering is nowhere near production and has no FRT.
ATRS receiver isn't goofy looking, doesn't use a proprietary trigger pack, uses a takedown pin not bolt, is made of the same material as SLR, you can truly make the rifle you want and it's $25 cheaper lolWith all that said I'm getting a WK180-C and hopefully that will help tide me over until the ATRS receiver's arrival

You say looks, trigger choice, takedown pins and takedown are all irrelevant. Perhaps to you, not to me. If looks didn't matter why don't we all want to bang Oprah Winfrey? I bought several Trigger Tech packs on Boxing Day and would like to use those as they are my preference, unfortunately the SLR doesn't accept all in one triggers. I'll be buying the ATRS receiver and spare uppers to be able to do quick swaps between calibers (no tools needed or threads to strip). Again those things may not matter to you but to build and do what I want, they do to me. You are right there is no FRT but depending if it is a child of the MV perhaps it'll be quicker than you think. Anyways I will wait to see the outcome and in the meantime I'm very excited for the WK180-C and it will fill my idle hands![]()
Looks don't affect performance. Clearly some are more interested in a looker than a shooter. Oh and trigger tech makes ok triggers, Geissele is the go to brand and they fit in the SLR.
Is there a single functional example of the atrs yet? The mh and mv had reliability issues(i would hedge it on mostly modified dpms parts... but i digress) what you posted iirc is the at15 which is in fact restricted. Correct me if I'm wrong. If atrs follows through it's another fine option to have. But it won't be here at the same time as the macdef pending the timeline is met. Oh and correct me if I'm wrong but said atrs has no frt correct?

As does the alg trigger or the kac 2 stage. Or even timneys
Plan to order the WK180. Wolverine is a solid company who keeps on giving. Don’t think for one second that they couldnt of charged another $500 and still sold a #### load of rifles, but they didnt. They genuinly give a damn, which is why I’m lining up for one.
.
I think you are absolutely correct. Wolverine could have added another $250 to the price tag and not lost any sales. They could have priced it at $1500 and they may have lost some sales but it would still have been a tremendous success. But they didn't, they gave the people want they REALLy wanted- an inexpensive AR style NR rifle that takes AR mags. It's a huge thing.

This has been addressed. The FaRT isn’t law, as much as the RCMP would like you to believe it is.
Regardless the WR product will be covered under the existing AR-180 frt.
The pictured receiver set is the modern sporter, a child of the modern varmint. 100% compatible with AR parts. Only the stripped upper and lower receiver is proprietary.
I’ve yet to dive into a pre order as of yet, but personally the macabee is the winner hands down. The versatility of the platform as well as specs and quality of material used would make it a clear decision for myself if I chose to order one. And have unfortunately had a poor experience with another kodiak rifle which makes me extremely hesistant . Looking forward to see what other NR options will be brought forth in the coming year !
SLR for a 223 for now, if the Wolverine comes out in 7.62x39 for the same price as the current offering I'll be all over that to.
It's in production and you can buy one now. FRT not complete, but it's also not a legal requirement. It has been submitted for FRT and is still waiting, receiver is built off the modern varmint as the parent.
ATRS prefers to wait until FRT is given, but you can take a chance and buy one now.
