Be careful not to assume that you should not bed the AI.
Even the AI will show accuracy improvements and more consistent point of aim if bedded.
Give some thought to practical functionality where you intend to shoot and how cooperative is each stock for the accessories you would need to use.
You want to get into long range competition...
Well the type of competition does matter...
bench rest, F-class or sniper match - very different ergos for each.
I went with an AI chassis........well kinda!!
I hope it will fit me.
Did you go pistol grip or the older thumb hole stock sides?
Some guys don't like the thumbhole because it is one grip size only, the pistol grip has different size back straps that can be swapped out for small to large hands.
I heard this a few times but have you ever seen different size back straps for sale?

I'm thinking about a new version AICS stock but the price tag for a long action is scaring me. $1895 plus tax
Yes, on the Victor Conpany Viperskins website.
The new rifles that just came out (AT and new AX) have them. AI is still gearing up with all the accessories for their new line of rifles, but I imagine they will be available soon.
Go to their website on the AX page h ttp://www.accuracyinternational.com/aiaxrifles.html and hover over the little tab beside the pistol grip. It comes up as " User configurable in minutes with replaceable pistol grip back straps".
The AT uses the exact same rear grip, held in place by clips and an allen bolt (I have a pair of the new sides).

The new style butt stock is very comfortable and easy to configure.
When they release the new version for a T3 I will be picking one up, have the barrelled action spun up waiting. And yes I won't be holding my breath for this either LOL.
