Medicine Hat Annual "Summer Sizzle" Match 16 Sept 2012

Is a sling required for the shotgun? Would 100rnds be enough for pistol with a newbie behind it? What about mag pouches, dont have any but I have pockets LOL?

I've never shot at a match yet but would love to come try it just for the experience even though I'm a bit short on equipment(mag pouches).

Don't think a sling is required.
For a mag pouch get a carpenters pouch at a hardware store and you are good to go. Works for mags and shotshells.

I think the round count is 50 pistol and 54 shotgun so bring about double that.

Garand puts on good matches.

No sling required, no drop pouch required, if you are confident with your marksmanship capability to require only 100 rds, go for it! Personally I'll have 200 rds available and I'm using a revolver as I don't miss as fast as the guys with semi autos.

I thought you didn't miss at all.

I will be out there at six for set up but the kids need to come with me. I will also fix the gate disconnect at that time.

Still shooting tomorrow.

I took some a big penalty in stage 5, but had fun.

That plate rack in stage three is a bugger.

Thanks Garand!

Nick you should have been given a MASSIVE Stage penalty as you were supposed to carry that shotgun down range with you and shoot pistol one handed. In your score, if your bragging about it don't forget to include a 10 sec proceedural for putting down the shotgun and 1x 10 sec proceedural for every round you fired out of the pistol two handed(local rules). Now I know how you guys in Lethbridge always come out with low timings. While everyone else follows the match copy, you guys just do what ever you want.

Since we determined at the match that Shawn is illiterate when it comes to reading the match copy, you tube has also proven Kevins illiteracy also. Obviously we should assign a proper baby sitter to you Lethbridge people for the next match.

By the way, at lunch today I drew up the rough draft for the next pistol match in April, and have included the Bianchi Plates in the 3rd stage again..................

Great people skills. I'm sure there will be a huge turn out for your next match.
