You will be waiting a while, since everything is shut down. Ranges and But this point, the MNRF has not made any decisions to restrict, delay or cancel provincial fishing and hunting seasons or restrict access to Crown land.
However, some municipalities and Conservation Authorities have already restricted access to their lands, and many retailers that usually offer fishing and hunting licences are no longer open to the public.
Below we will be updating a list of closures across the process in an attempt to keep you informed. This list will change daily, so please check back often

Hi all!
Just got my PAL. Living in Ottawa. Totally new to firearms.
I have no firearms right now, but planning to buy a 92FS. Maybe a rifle later (if wife approves the budget;-))
Anyone near Ottawa who wants to give some advices on the clubs or ranges near Ottawa?
Thanks
Hi,
Got into this sport a few years back and learnt a lot from this community. Now it's my turn to do some contributions.
If you live in Ottawa area and are interested in this sport but don't know where to start, I would like to help. I can take you to the range on weekends and try some shooting. The only thing I need from you is compliance to all laws, regulations and safety rules.
You need to get yourself hearing and eye protections.
Send me PM and we can work out the time. Thanks.
Hi all, I'm in Ottawa and have a membership at the EOSC. I'm looking to get a handgun, but don't know anyone who owns one. I've done a bunch of research but everyone says I've got to hold and shoot them to know which is most comfortable for me.
If anyone from the Ottawa area would be willing to take me to their club as a guest or to come to EOSC as my guest and show me their handguns i'd really appreciate it.
I'd be willing to drive out 1.5h in any direction and would pay for the ammo for the day.
Thanks![]()
Heres some more great facilities although some a little further away from you.

New to the shooting sports in Ontario. Wondering if anyone had any tips for finding places to shoot? Is asking farmers if I can shoot on their land a thing? Looking at getting a range membership so I can shoot pistols. IPSC seems interesting and I'd like to learn more about that too.
agree.
I know some crown land in the GTA, good for rabbits.
but the season opens later October.
I also know a place where we can go for Geese. early season hunt is uderway.
Welcome to the sport. I love the handle you gave yourself - the only donut i every eat!!
Target sports is/was good when i was a member. A little loud at times but understandable for an inside range.
I hear a new range opened up somewhere east of Toronto - probably run by the same folks who run FOC (firearms outlet Canada.)
Went to Silverdale, out past Grimsby two weeks ago. It's an outdoor range and I really like it. Seriously thinking of getting a membership but it's a bit of a long drive for me (i'm in vaughan.)
best of luck to you.
