Meeting place for Newbies and Mentors -Ontario

Well, the Cloverleaf in Chatham does IDPA, Cowboy, PPC, and bullseye; 10 minutes down the road is Blenheim club; they also do IDPA and PPC. both clubs also do trap, Cloverleaf does skeet as well. The other Chatham club, Trails End, is primarily 200yard rifle.

I did my safety courses at Cloverleaf and it's just around the corner from me - and I'm planning on joining in the near future.

Thanks so much!!!

Gunsmith

Looking for a Gunsmith in my area of Kingston. Anyone know of a good one by reputation around, Kingston, Westport, Brockville, Belleville - anywhere around here that would be much appreciated. Have a Winchester 1400 12 gauge full choke barrel that I want to get turned out to use for skeet. Tks.

NCRRA - Connaught Range?

Hey All,

My wife and I finally got around to getting our licences, and a nice pair of Russian SKS's... Now we just need a place to safely discharge these firearms ;)
As luck would have it, we are right next door to Connaught range :D ...but I've never been to a range or participated in any sort of structured shooting environment (nailed a lot of tin cans growing up, but that's about it...)

Are there any NCRRA members willing to show us the ropes?

Thanks,

Matt

I am brand new here and to shooting as well. I live in Norfolk County and have already signed up at the Waterford Gun Club.

I picked up a Savage 111 .300 Win Mag and I love it! :D I mounted a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40mm scope on it.

Just saying hi! :D

Hey guys I'm a noob to hunting and will be doing my course this summer! I am looking for someone in the nagara region who could give me an opportunity to tag along and learn a thing or two. I am interested in pretty much every kind of hunting there is around here from squirrels to deer. Please pm me if you could help me out. PS I have a cottage in Parry Sound to do some bear and deer hunting and would invite someone along to show me the ropes!

Newbie looking for a mentor/advice??

Hello All,

I'm new to the hobby of shooting and to the board and am interested in all aspects of the hobby. Currently I am waiting for my PAL/RPAL. I plan on owning a handgun, shotgun (clays and skeet interest) and some sort of rifle...I am interested in 10-22's and have my eye on the Colt and S&W versions but am also interested in other types of rifles as well.

Anyway....if anyone is interested in sharing their knowledge on any/all aspects of the sport of shooting and maybe allowing me to sample their firearms please send me a private message. Of course I will pay for ammo. Also, I can provide copies of both non and restricted safety course sheets dated and stamped.

Thanks very much for taking the time to read this,

Coach

p.s. i am located in the Hamilton area and am willing to drive within an hour of the area.

Location: Pickering, Ontario
Objective: Looking for someone to get a few lessons with and trigger time on any model of 9mm, .40, and .45 handguns - I have shot at Burlington, Target Sports, and the SRC.

I have been out with someone on this forum once, was an excellent experience and I gained great safety tips and handling advice.

Ideally I would like to try a Sig P226 9mm as that is the handgun I am leaning towards purchasing based on online reviews. However, I would never turn down an offer to try a shotgun or any type of rifle.

Shoot (no pun intended) me an email at info@danimal247.com

Hey everyone,

I'm a relative newbie with a PAL/RPAL who is looking to put a few rounds through a new centerfire rifle just to try it out. My dad would want to come along as well, and he is a brand new shooter. I'll be in town for a few days next week and then a few weeks after that, and just can't find a place around the GTA that will let me shoot centerfire.

If there is anyone around the North GTA that could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Ottawa sucks for guns/shooting equipment. You can try LeBarons, or Stittsville Shooting range. Higginsons Powder is only about an hour away though.
