Mentoring

Hello,
I am a new Hunter from GTA (Richmond Hill, Ontario) looking for someone who can teach me the art of tracking and hunting (deer and duck).
I can show you how to fish (15+ years exp), camp or work a computer:)
I dont know anybody that hunts so even if you have a few years experience thats fine. I have a lot of questions about regulations, where to go, setup, planning, dressing and preperation. I used to hunt as a kid so not completely clueless and youtube has taught me a lot in the last few months.
Would also be down for forming a group.

Hi guys!

I'm from Vancouver, BC, and looking for a mentor for pretty much any type of hunting there is. I'm interested in waterfowling, as well as deer and bear hunting. My parents live in Chilliwack, so I also have another "home base" further out the valley.

I own an RV business converting vans into pop-top campers, so I'm well versed in RV issues. If you need repairs or parts I could definitely be of help!

Im in burlington looking for some guys to hunt with. Im new to it but ive taken a few duck and geese. If there are any guys in the area that want to form a group to go out pm me. I dont care if everyone is a newbie I just want to hunt.
 
Hey there fellow CGN members! I am located in Calgary, Alberta and looking for a mentor/hunting partner or two. I have hunted upland birds before and got out for ducks once (I have some decoys) last season. Hoping to take my first piece of large game this year. If anyone is in Calgary and looking for a hunting partner and can share some insight at the same time it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys. I am in Mississauga. Im looking to learn how to coyote and turkey hunt. The turkey season is here so this could be last minute. Anyone who wouldnt mind taking me out would be appreciated. Ive got enough of my own gear to start

You have to find your own mentor, usually it is a family member. For example when my son went through the program I was a mentor for him. Now he is old enough to hunt on his own. The age requirement is under 15 mandatory and under 18 optional. When your 18 you can get a full PAL and don’t need a minors permit (http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/fs-fd/minor-mineur-eng.htm).
 
Hey guys, just got my hunting licence, interested in all types of hunting. I also plan on doing some hunting with my recurve.
I'm in the York region area.
 
Barrie, innisfil, oro, mid hurst, creemore, Everett etc. willing to travel to most of central, southern and northern ontario. Been shooting for a while now and taking the step to hunting. Deer, turkey, duck, coyote and bear. My uncles and grand fathers are no longer with me so I'm looking to others for some field time.

I'm in my late thirties and looking for someone with years of success and knowledge to help guide me in the right directions. Books and the web are great but I feel being out there with a longtime pro would elevate my game. Pm me if you'd like to help out a young buck : ). Thanks all

Looking for a mentor for a total greenhorn. 26 year old computer nerd tired of the rat race and looking to learn more about living off the land and hunting. PAL issued in May 2013, signed up for OHEP June 22/23 with Walter Bent. Live in East Toronto but willing to travel within 2-3 hours driving distance. Still looking for a first firearm, possibly a Savage 24.

hey there... I did my hunter course with Walter earlier this year. You will enjoy it! Took my first turkey last month and loved it!

I have been shooting all my life but never hunting. I have my turkey license now and I want to try every type of hunting I can. I live in Windsor but I would be willing to travel. If anybody know of any land in essex county to hunt or if anybody would be kind enough to let me tag along it would be greatly appreciated.

I just moved to Wolfville, NS and was hoping that someone could show me the ropes for bird hunting. I would like to do ducks, geese and pheasant if anyone up there is willing to teach me and take me to some good spots I would appreciate it and can repay you with gas/tims/ammo.

I am looking for an experienced hunter in Montreal who wouldn't mind taking out a new hunter for deer, bear, duck and goose. I am by no means new to shooting, but have no hunting experience. I am very eager to learn. Thanks in advance for any responses. Cheers!
 
I'm an experienced small game and deer hunter with a few public and private hotspots in the Chatham Kent and Middlesex area of Ontario. I'd be willing to take anyone out for a squirrel/rabbit hunt at these spots. Also setting up a few spots for our newly opened Dove hunt.

Also looking for info or an experienced hunter to show me the ropes for waterfowl in the Rondeau or Mitchells bay area. I just bought and old school sneak boat and have two German Shorthaired pointers that I'm getting tuned up for the fall. One will be good to go (in my opinion, maybe not everyones) Other one is still a pup and learning the ropes.
