It's been said before and it will be said again and it's one of those things which really can't be said too often.
Christmas/Year-end/Saturnalia/Mother Night/Yule/Jul/Weihachten/The Black Nights/Midwinter Sacrifice of Mithras/call it what you will, has been, for 5000 years that we know of, a time of peace and goodwill and celebration and gifting, from one civilisation to the next and to the next and it shows no sign of letting up (except possibly to the anally-retentive Socialists who believe only in higher taxes for everyone else).
We might as well keep it
Here, it will be just a few friends (Smellie, Twosteam, Buffdog and Karl the Mathematician), Miss Dufis B Underfoot and a turkey that was too big to run fast. We have an entire bottle (one) of Tsingtao beer with which to salute the Kaiser.... and enough yummies to give us all teenage zits for the next month.
And so a very Happy Christmas to all...... and a Merry New Year to follow!
