Do full blood First Nations even recognize the Metis as a subculture? From what I'm told by friends "in the know",they aren't. If FN doesn't ,then,why should any one else?
Wait so now "we" care what natives think? It doesn't really matter what a full blood first nation think about Metis. Metis are a distinct group of people from the prairie provinces. Yes, we spread out like most people do. The biggest hit to Metis identity are the people that claim Metis have a claim from coast to coast. I think a lot of people need to brush up on Canadian history.
