Mid length handguard over carbine length gas system?

Is the Hera arms compensator basically like a SPEX/ATRS Eliminator? Pushing the blast forward, etc?

Yeah, same idea essentially.

That's not my AR, photo from Hera Arms. I was interested in building that but never did.
