When did I not abide by the law ?
I wanted info about a non restricted gun that have a military look to it, if asking such a question is against Government rules or this Forums rules then i am sorry.
You aren't even addressing my comments...no one said you broke the law. Apparently you have all the paper work, whether POL or PAL and a hunter ID, meaning you have the references or ability to get answers from legit legal sources, also nothing that your so called buddies at the 'hunting forum' couldn't answer...
... well not being Canadian I just met my first ass hole Canadians.
This is what you said, it could be construed or interpreted several ways...
Having been in the Military myself I was tought it was a weapon, well because it can kill or harm another person .... a gun is a weapon, end of story, a paintball marker on the other hand is not a weapon or a gun, I can see if you want to protect the world of paintball by calling it anything but a weapon.
A gun is a gun, it cannot hurt anyone unless it is
used against someone, in which case it is a weapon. Not sure what kind of military background you claim to have (claiming to have been in the Military is so vague) but a rifle is merely a tool used in that reference to kill people in which case it becomes a weapon. A knife is a tool unless I stick or slice someone, then it is a weapon. A box cutter is a tool unless you slash someone, then it is considered a weapon. A Macleans magazine is literature, unless I roll it up, spine outward and strike someone with the end, then I will be charged with assault with weapon. A firearm in Canada is used to hunt or for competition, therefore not a weapon unless it us used on someone, then it becomes a weapon. I was saying that in a PC world, you have to draw the negative away from things, people focus on negatives, hence the avoiding calling a firearm a weapon.
I do understand what this place is for, that is why I came here.
I had a question that nobody on my regular Hunting forum could anwser and was told to come here. I registered and asked a valid question because the law is not very clear about this subject but was then attacked and called names left and right for trying to find a gun that I can buy that I would like.
Maybe if you had mentioned this and named the hunting forum you were referring to, it might lead to some credibility to you. When you are a new comer, you ask some interesting questions, especially during a time where legal gun owners are starting to feel like the politicians are out to get them, they get wary, very wary, you fit the bill, resulting in the way you are treated. Whether or not you actually are 'symbol boy' reincarnate or another of our prior trolls, a media person or politician in disguise to try and stir the preverbial #### pot is irrelevant, it's basically a case of: "Looks like ####, smells like ####, must be ####...." I would hardly say you were attacked, but what you have failed to do is adequately defended yourself or credibility. I have probably wasted more time typing these last two posts in regards to you than others have bothered to waste. If in deed you are innocently and ignorant about what you have done, it's too bad, as it is not in habit for member to start a witch burning cerimony, however, as I said, "Looks like ####, smells like ####......
