Millet, Sightron, or Falcon?

I am looking to replace the optic on a .308 Remington LE. I will be shooting from 5-600 m, further if the opportunity presents itself but mainly at those distances.
I am considering the following scopes: Sightron II 6 x 24 x 50. Haven't tried one but am hearing good things: Rivaling the Nightforce Optics perhaps? Excellent optics by all accounts.

I have a Falcon Menace which I really like but haven't used the larger Falcons. I am considering the Falcon 5.5-25x50 FFP EMD Metric which has .1 moa clicks, good optics but I read is also on the heavy side. (Not an issue if target shooting, I guess.) They are on sale for $500 with free shipping, which is good value for the money.

Finally there is a new scope out by Millet, kind of interesting with a 56 mm lens: Millett LRS 6-25x56mm Illuminated MOA with a 35mm tube. They come with their own rings for obvious reasons. I read some reviews on them and they, too, are considered by some to be excellent value for the money. They are also considered to be huge, almost 24" long. That isn't necessarily an issue as this rifle isn't going to be lugged around except from truck to bench.

Any informed opinions would be welcome. I may have missed another optic. If so, tell me about it. I am not interested in Leupold; 6500's seem pricy and I am still waiting 18 months later on a Bushnell scope warranty.

I have the Falcon 5.5-25 that you are wondering about. i have it on a savage 10 precision carbine for my coyote rig. havnt had it long but im very impressed with it so far

Don't buy ONE Falcon, buy FOUR of them :D ha ha ha ha I did and I ain't looking back.

Okay, seriously you gotta get what works for your budget, your comfort level, your game and it's future development, you LCV (look cool value), your warranty needs, etc.

I've been super satisfied with the Falcon line and the value it presents for the money. I would dearly love to buy Leupold Mark4's for all my hunting & precision rifles, but it is not in the cards, so my rigs (3 Rem M700's and 1 Win Model 70 Stealth) all wear Falcons. I cannot afford anything else that achieves clear images (well, for my 52 year old eyes, that just failed a Police selection test) and has side focus for groundhogs that pop up inside 25 steps while I'm glassing for them around 100 to 200 steps away.

Buy what works for you! I've also heard great things about the Vortex line from Farmboy's One Shot Tactical....

Cheers,
Barney

You might prefer the SIIB ss 6.5-20X56 side focus scope w/ mildot reticle. I have used one of these since they came out and it has been a great product. That side focus will come in handy if shorter distances are engaged.

If the budget allows, the SIII LR 6-24X50 is really a great product and superior to the SII Big Sky and SII line up. NXS for way less money.

Being able to see with a high degree of clarity and resolution is addictive.

I decided to spend the cash for a scope now instead of later. The only brand I even bothered with considering was Sightrons given thier reasonable prices and great reviews.

I was going to buy the SII 6.5-20 but got a deal on a SIII 8-32x56. Its still alot of cash but the way I see it, its going to last me years assuming I dont break it by accident. I will have no reason or excuse to upgrade it unless I want a different reticule with that range of magnification.
