Milo gun range

I don't believe so, they have so many cool ranges on the land they acquired a few years back I don't think they could extend it out or build anything else without another quarter section being purchased. But as others have said, its top notch, relaxed and fun.

No. Edmonton. And probably the best range close to Edmonton costs $160 per year. Out to 800m (soon to be out to 1100m) for long range, 2 pistol bays, trap, archery, and everything in between. Enclosed shooting positions, etc., etc..

And then there's the Longest Mile Range at Edson. A little further out, yes. But only $120 per year.

But $400 for the first year and then $250 per year to renew...? That's expensive.

The first year stings a bit for sure but is still cheaper than either of the indoor ranges in Calgary. This gives you accessto both the Shephard and Milo Ranges. The Milo facility has cost a crap ton of money to build. It is kept in very good order. It isnt done yet either, there are more things getting built out there all the time. $250 a year for access to 2 facilities seems cheap to me.

You guys really complaining about a couple hundred bucks?
Holy. A range with half of the facilities where I’m at will run &460 for the first year, if not closer to &520-550!

That’s with a long range of 200m.. the most expensive at 540 has 300m lol.

You haven't been around CGN long if you are just now realizing how cheap the majority of people are on here. Certainly explains why certain brands and products are promoted here.

Earlier in the year when I was living in Texas, the range I was a member of was $750 USD/year. Not cheap, but it is an 800 acre outdoor shooting club. Steel targets out to 1,100 yards, 10 pistol bays - lots of props to shoot off of and a variety of different steel targets. I could spend the morning essentially shooting a PRS COF, then in the afternoon practicing my pistol shooting on a Texas star target. They host national and club level PRS matches, USPSA and 3 gun matches, etc.

You get what you pay for. That principal applies to most things in life, gun ranges are no exception. I certainly miss having access to that facility.

The price point is amazing in my opinion, when you actually make it out to the Milo range you can see exactly where the money goes. The facility is amazing and the amount of dirt work and expansion still going on is astounding. Not to mention the access to the Shepard range just a few minutes from home. I can’t imiagine what the property taxes must be.

The Milo range is an awesome facility and well worth the price IMO.

Some of these ranges that are able to offer really low rates have been around for ages and were set up when land values were much lower.

It is not like the CDTSA is rolling around in piles of money. They charge enough to keep the club going.

It would be great if the APRA had something that was more open. That 900M range is under utilized IMO.

That's absurd! No thank-you, I will not be applying.

lol
That is hard to respond too.

Have fun in your searches.

(Keep in mind, no one is paid to say nice things about CDTSA, the promotions you hear are simply members that love it and will tell you its worth it)
(Not to mention other ranges in calgary are around 600/year)
