My Girlfriends father gave me a couple boxes he said were randam ammo when i opened the box the contained american or canadian made 7.62 ammo FMJ, Blanks, and tracers theres 20 rounds of blanks and 20 rounds of tracers and about 700 rounds of FMJ how much would this be worth

What does it say on the headstamp?

not sure about the blanks or tracers but should be able to sell the FMJ for 60 to 70 cents a round

I'll give you .25 each for the lot - and happy to take it off your hands. ;o) What is the packaging?

Canadian milsurp 7.62x51 is either primo or ####e. If it is DA, you struck gold. This was made with care by guys who gave a d@mn. The earlier the better. Then the plant was sold or transferred to IVI, and the old dies were run until they were so badly out of spec' that even the sloppiest of standards couldn't pass them. If it is in cardboard boxes it might actually be better than linked ball.

*** But all bets are off if this ammo was storied in the tool box of FIL's half-ton farm truck for twenty years. Ammo should be stored like wine - dry, cool, dark, rarely disturbed, etc ... ***
