Canadian milsurp 7.62x51 is either primo or ####e. If it is DA, you struck gold. This was made with care by guys who gave a d@mn. The earlier the better. Then the plant was sold or transferred to IVI, and the old dies were run until they were so badly out of spec' that even the sloppiest of standards couldn't pass them. If it is in cardboard boxes it might actually be better than linked ball.
*** But all bets are off if this ammo was storied in the tool box of FIL's half-ton farm truck for twenty years. Ammo should be stored like wine - dry, cool, dark, rarely disturbed, etc ... ***
