Milsurp postal match-Rules p.4!

MAN YOU GUYS ARE LAME. 6 pages of babble and I seem to be the only one to submit targets. You guys waiting for a sale on 7.62x54 at wallmart?
This postal match is lame......"shoot as many targets as you want, off the bench, until you get a decent group"........

Still a couple of feet of snow on the range. But once it stops raining, and if it isn't flooded....

hey hitzy, you wanna write the rules and put on the next one? no? didnt think so:rolleyes:. so STFU!

I shouldnt take it personally, all you do on here is cry, whinge and ##### anyways. If you don't like it, don't enter.

I've got a witnessed 5-shot group from my Brazilian (7x57) Mauser, but it was shot at 200 yards... :)

Military sights, off the bench. (I was having a good day) :D

A fellow shooter witnessed it (after exclaming "Holy Sh*t!")

FWIW, the load was a 139 grain Hornady Spire Point with 41.0 grains of H4895 and a Federal 210 primer. OAL=3.00"

Chill out everyone!!! This is about a postal match, a cheep way to have some fun! If you guys from the great white north want to get serious lets all get together on the same fireing line. We'll all find out real quick at the same time who's full of gas!!! In the mean time since my work has settled down along with the weather I'll be planning on shooting my many bench rest targets this weekend and emailing in some pics.

Gee's,

rifle guy

I'll be trying out my new-to-me ljungman this Sunday. Here's hoping I do better than the target i submitted after the last trip to the range with the 38 swed   ! (definitely the shooter - not the rifle)

GEEZ! Enough with all of the suggestions and rule changes and over all whining. The rules are posted, go out and have at her. It's a postal match. Ollie made it up, if you don't like it, then F**K off and make your own. Since the rules were posted on page 4 of this thread there have been no less than 7 "why don't we..." or " perhaps we could..." type suggestions. These "suggestions" have also created their own little individual debates. That is why this thread is 8 pages long and only has a couple of pics of actual targets that have been shot. The rules are easy enough

1. Download the target
2. Measure the 100 metres if you have to
3. Shoot five times at the target (within the posted rules and using the appropriate firearm)
4. Send results to Ollie

If you have a question about what ammo to use, send Ollie a PM or an e-mail. If you are a handloader, but you can get the ammo commercially, then use the commercial, c'mon, at least you'll get some once fired brass out of it. If you have a doubt, then ask, via pm or e-mail to Ollie and for chrissakes, stop cloggin this thread with useless "this is lame" and "can I use this?" comments and questions.

Ollie, you wil have my target shortly.

Well, when I spoke with Ollie a coupe of weeks ago, I got the impression he was going to extend it, as he only got one target. If he didn't, then my bad and tough doo doo to me.:D

I went to the range to shoot for the match, but I shot so bad I couldn't bring myself to submit the targets. I just got a club membership & showed up for my first solo shoot with 8 milsurps, 7 of which I had never shot before, 400 rounds of ammo & only ten targets. Never shot off a bench before either, so I had a great time but sucked large. If its been extended maybe I could get a few targets in with guns I know shoot well. If not oh well there is always next time.

E-mailed my targets and info to ollie, thought I'd share with you guys. Using LC 69 milsurp ammo at 100 yards in a sling not off a bench my best 5 shot group measured 2.09 ". Less .308 for the bullet the group center to center measurement came out to 1.78". Not too bad for a 61 year old M1 with a 54 year old with bi-focals behind the butt plate!

Here's 10 rounds prone with sling. The flyer at 1 o'clock I called and was my fault.
