yup, but they won't push this through quickly, they want this as a wedge issue and need to drag it out so they can blame the CPC for delaying

Woodchopper gets it. The Liberals are doing a slow roll out of "gun control" measures to keep the "problem" of private ownership in the back pocket for the next elections wedge issue of the day. Why do you think they rolled the "assault gun" ban down the road when the second year date had passed ?? This freeze BS is the wedge issue in waiting and count on the moronJusty to give sickening sweet statements to the press of how the Libs are doing all they can to "protect Canadians" and how the red neck deplorable "Cons" want to make Canada like USA north.

Exactly this. So long as the media can write stories about how loving and caring their LPC financiers are, pushing all this gun control, that's all that needs to be done.

None of their followers have any idea what the current laws are regarding firearms anyways. The LPC could say every single election "we're going to ban fully automatic weapons" and despite that having been done decades ago, their supporters will go "that's a great idea!".

Nice to be cocky and self assured, but do not think for one minute the Trudeau Liberals will NOT go after your property as it is "firearmed shaped" so Liberal "logic" (and the idiots over at the RCMP gun lab) will come for those all in good time my friend. If airsoft BB "guns" are on the chopping block yours will be also in future bans, "freezes" and grabs. It's going to be melted down, the end of the line for living history. And all because of politics. It has nothing to do with public safety, its purely become a political wedge they relish using.

I suspected many milsurp guys were sitting on the fence politically since it seemed the Liberals were going after black rifles quite a bit.
It is now obvious to even the most brainwashed that they just don't want Canadians to have any guns. And its a death by a thousand cuts. And its not going to take decades, they have fired off the two largest measures in a span of just 2 years - under minority govt. This is going quite fast actually.

So what if anything is the milsurp community going to do? We are generally the older of the many gun groups, the more intelligent if I can be so biased, and probably the most affluent.

I don't want this post to end up in the political section, where some of you probably never venture, and that I believe in itself is problematic.

I wish more gun owners understood this.
There seems to be no patriotism in this country. People in Europe still teach their kids about being liberated in WWII and sometimes I think they are more patriotic to this nation than most voters. My Great grandfather served in WWI and WWII , he lost limbs fighting for freedom and came home a patriot to this nation and what it stood for in those generations. My grandfather also entered service in WWII as did all my grandma's brothers. We've all watched the movies , documentaries and hours and hours of live footage from WWI and WWII and see the sacrifice in the name of freedom against tyranny. We dishonor them all by bending the knee to this current regime.
