Milsurp Survey

To crazydsb:regarding K98 rifle #s not matching bayonet, rifle's + bayonet's were produced by separate companies so serial #'s will not match. The serial #'s,makers code + year of manufacture on bayonet + scabbard were almost alway's matching when issued. If you'd could send me markings + #'s on the bayonet + scabbard I could help you id it as I have a small collection of bayonets + a couple of guides.

Just have an SKS, and an old Webly in .455 that I inherited. I know it was issued to a British navy officer in WWII, but am not really sure what model it is.
Never shoot the thing.

Mine are a

SMLE No4Mk1
M1903 Springfield - Remington made
M1903A3 Springfield - Remington made

Unfortunately these have all been sportorized after the war. I actually still use them for hunting. The enfield and 1903 are my favourites
