I was at my local gun shop today and was looking at buying slugs. The guy there showed me some Aquila mini slugs. Has anyone used these at all? How about on game animals? I opted to get some Score 2 3/4" slugs as I am planning a hunt for some wild pigs in the new year, I have used Score before and know they work well in my gun.

Wonder if you might find yourself in hot water in some provinces where you’re limited to 3 slugs during a deer season...

How many can you fit in a tube plugged for 2 3” shells?

I've used them, fun to shoot, tricky to cycle in semis. Perhaps my imagination but don't seem to have the oomph of regular size slugs, so I would stick to those for hunting.

I use a single shot, so they would work just fine. Fellow at the gun shop said that they were fun to play with but probably not best for hunting, also why I grabbed the Score slugs. So does anyone know what purpose they have? I almost want to buy a box to try out for fun, just because they looked pretty cool.

I think they’re mostly for 3 gun and run n gun stuff aren’t they? So you can have as many in the tube as possible, and low recoil, but more than enough oomph for banging steel or punching holes in paper.

I have ran them threw my grizzlys, 500 Mossberg , you need to cycle them kinda slow so that they don't get upset ( cannot speed pump them !) If they do get out of Alignment to feed you will need to Jostle them around or finger them along . Not much recoil or noise and kinda run out of gas after a hundred feet or so ( start to drop) great for newbies to try or small statured people .way fun in singles or doubles . Semis you just as well forget about it will not cycle the action .something fun to play around with .
