The best part of these threads is that MOST,not all probably wouldnt know an eland wasnt a skidoo made in the 70's let alone what the best cal for the job would be, yet their here in gang mentality as is the norm in the world of the net

Statements like this if meant in fun are in truth actually more closely related to most peoples experience to how an eland moves, presents its body etc. Atleast most who are commenting on proper caliber selection. I'll tell you Sealhunter on rare occasion I have had a big gun turn a marginal shot into a good shot. The animal flinched that quarter second I pulled the trigger or whatever and yes I'll tell it as it is, standing there with a "canon" has made the difference. Maybe not the difference in wether I would have got the animal at all. We'll never know that, but the difference in wether he toppled right away or not.
