I just receive my minox za5 1.5-8x32 and taught id right a little pre range review.

First of I will start with some spec.
- magnification -1.5-8x32
- adjustment 1/4" @ 100yard. 90moa adjustment
- 1 inch tube
- 11.8" length
- 12 oz weight
- over 4 inch of eye relief.

the scope seem really high quality, the turrets have really positive click's and are suppose to be repeatable.

My only concern befor reciving the scope was repport of critical (finicky) eye relief .But I am glad to repport that the eye relief is REALLY non critical, I would guess that at 1.5x the eye relief would be between 3.5 to OVER 12 inch. At 8x I would guess between 4 and 6 inch.

the glass is manufacture in Germany ( schott) and the scope is assemble and warranty in the U.S. it has fast focus eye piece. The glass seems very clear from center to edge. it also has 21 coating on the lenses.

sorry for the messy review I wilk try to get it to the range this weekend.

Thanks for the review. I was looking at that in the Cabelas Catalogue and thought it would be a nice scope for service rifle or deer hunting. Nice magnification range, great quality and a pretty good price for quality glass.

I am so impress with this scope as of yet its so easy to look in!

The optical quality, magnification range, overall size, even comes with the German No.4 reticle that I really like ... what I don't like about that scope is it is out of my price range.

Look at plainsight solutions, a member here, has the best deals, a while ago I paid $400 to my door, great hunting scope.
Maybe not for fine target work though

yeah was hard for me to to fork out the cash for the optic but there was nothing else that really fitted what I wanted. the only other optic that I was considering was the Burris mtac 1.5-6x40 but it was longuer, heavier and less magnification ( but it has a illuminated reticle that I did not find crucial) and was only 40 $ less.

well I went to the range yesterday.

first the good, real bright easy to see in, I really like the turrets very positif . it was really quick tk sight in the scope. the 1.5x felt like a 1.25x at the range nothing but good.

then the ugly, after I was done and real satisfied with the adjustment and the scope one of the fears I had and something I read that happen to 2 guys the objective was all loose after only about 40 rounds.

so now I guess Il test there suppose really good customer service, I will give them a call tomorow and Il keel you posted. I really want this scope to work out.

I have a Bushnell Trophy (pre XLT series) 1.5-6x44 with a 30mm tube and German No.4 reticle. I bought it for the reticle and the magnification range. I've used it on a .308 Handi-Rifle and a couple of my Enfield No.4s and it works as it should. Certainly not as good optically as anything Minox I've looked through but per $, pretty good. Current versions come with and without illuminated reticle.

That sucks
I had a Bushnell that did not hold zero. I took it to Toronto - Bushnell Canada gave me a new one right then. Thats why I buy Bushnell

yeah so small updste . I email minox monday and tusday they responded, asking me to ship them the scope (usa) , they would fix it and send it back to me.... im shipping it tomorow and keeping you posted.

Will it be fixed here in Canada or does it have to go to the U S . I guess its only the glass from Germany not the workmanship. Are they even made in Germany for them selves. The ones for sale in Britain are made in U S A
