MK14 in a Japanese animated series

Figures that the Japanese would get the coolest animals!

Well, the United States always get the rabbits because it make a Japanese pun.

Japanese word for rabbit is "Usagi" and the pun is "USA" "G.I.", referring to American infantry/military. Chuck Yeager was also personified as a rabbit in strike witches for a similar reason.

Edit: Ooops redundant comment. Powmia already mentioned the USAGI pun. Missed that earlier.

What does a bad guy or a jam have to do with throwing your primary arm to the ground in order to transition to a pistol? The pistol is the logical weapon when the primary has a failure but reducing yourself to a defence arm intentionally boggles my mind.

The proper application of a tactical sling would have allowed the transition WITHOUT the loss of the rifle. Bad tactics, bad lesson taught to novice shooters. Potentially fatal decision in a combat environment.

Slings are not just for the lazy, they are a life and death piece of kit.

Relax Petrock we're talking about Japanese animators. :)

......and then again in the scene where Botasky and other Usagi carrying a stretcher, Botaksy's Mk.14 is obviously attached to a sling  , so I don't see why Packy should tosses his rifle aside other than it looks good on camera.........

With that being said, I still looking forward to it when it is out :dancingbanana: !

Indeed, what have those Americans been doing training their Special Forces rabbits like that? If they had used real people instead of rabbits during the Iranian Hostage Crisis maybe then it wouldn't have been such a disaster.

[/sarcasm]

It's just a cartoon, 99% of novice shooters will never see anything close to that situation and the 1% that will, their instructor probably would've straightened them out of them during training (one would hope).

I was a big fan of the book serie :) but the animated serie will be awesome!!! they call it CAT #### one, because in the original serie the vietnamese are cats. chinese are pandas and american are bunnies.

Too many young and impressionable minds will see that garbage and think it's accurate. I see it all the time at work, saw it in a movie it must be true right?

There is no line between fantasy and reality anymore. The younger shooters pick up garbage in movies then apply it to the real world. Just for an example how many people have you seen at the range that just once try shooting their Glock "gangsta" style?

What's going to be next? People throwing loaded firearms to the ground?

It is a bunch of bunnies shooting camels - it is not supposed to be a training video.

If people think they can be "operators" by learning shooting from a bunny cartoon, they deserve the outcome. :)
